Family and Community Engagement (FACE)

Welcome to Inglewood Middle School

 

 

Throughout the year, the PTSA likes to share events hosted by the LWSD, LWSF, and LWPTSA Council as well as offer events for families, parents, and community members. We are currently looking at new opportunities for the 2022-2023 school year, both online and hopefully in-person events. 

 

Past events have included:

  • Parenting Strategies for Success During COVID-19, LWPTSA (online)
  • Cultural Competency in the Early Years, LWPTSA (online)
  • Opioid Awareness Panel, LWPTSA (online)
  • Suicide Awareness and Prevention, LWPTSA (online)
  • Parent Chats with Balance in Mind, LWSF (online and in-person)

WE WELCOME OUR International Families

The Lake Washington School District is made up of students and families from many different cultures. In recognition of this, the LWPTSA Council in partnership with LWSD hosts a New and International Families Welcome event each year. Check the calendar and announcements for details.


The district recently teamed up with the LWPTSA Council to create an International Families Welcome – World Video so that we can learn from the unique perspectives of our parents in how they and their children view the school experience. This sharing of information helps to inform our school district as to the needs of the growing international community. Finally, international families new to the district can learn from these parents about what to expect from Lake Washington schools and how to get involved.

We'd like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families who joined the Inglewood community! Welcome home!

If your family recently moved here from another country or you are new to the PNW area or Lake Washington School District, you may find recordings of these Welcome events hosted by Lake Washington School District and Lake Washington PTSA Council 2.8 helpful.
